Taylor Haeuser - Maton of Honor
Taylor and Lauren’s friendship truly began in 2014, when Taylor slid a contract across a table at Braum’s in Stillwater, formally adopting Lauren as her Little in their sorority. Having just transferred to Oklahoma State from the University of Arkansas, Lauren didn’t yet have a “family” at the Nu chapter of Kappa Delta — so Taylor fixed that.
Since then, Taylor has been one of Lauren’s closest friends, even while living in different states for much of their friendship. She is the true definition of a “Big” sister. From watching The Office in Taylor’s first apartment, to trips to Waco while Taylor was in law school, to Taylor becoming a wife and mother, their relationship has been filled with heartfelt conversations, endless laughter, and unwavering support. Their friendship has truly stood the test of time, and Lauren couldn’t imagine anyone better to stand by her side as her Matron of Honor.
Fernando Bomfim - Best Man
Fernando is Geoff’s childhood best friend of almost 25 years and serving as best man. They met on the first day of first grade after Fernando and his family moved to the US from Brazil. They were in the same class every year in elementary school and then had overlapping classes throughout middle and high school. Even when Geoff was at The University of Oklahoma and Fernando was at NYU, whenever they would catch up during breaks from school, it’s like they never missed a beat. Despite rooting for opposite NYC baseball teams (Fernando pulls for the Yankees and Geoff pulls for the Mets), their shared love of sports, video games, music and movies growing up kept them together. Fernando is wrapping up his final year of medical school at the University of Buffalo and is newly engaged to his partner, Rachel. The wedding will be his first time in Oklahoma and Geoff can’t wait to have the person who has known him better than any friend he’s met by his side as his Best Man.
Jennie Butler - Bridesmaid
Jennie and Lauren met while teaching U.S. History together at Edmond North, where what began as a professional partnership quickly turned into a meaningful friendship. Lauren often found herself stopping by Jennie’s classroom just to talk about the books Jennie was reading, and those conversations became the foundation of something much deeper.
Jennie is the kind of friend who would go to the ends of the earth for the people she loves, and she has done exactly that for Lauren time and time again. Through countless laughs, thoughtful advice, mentorship, and being a steady presence during life’s harder seasons, Jennie has been a constant source of support. What began as a shared love of books has grown into a friendship Lauren is incredibly grateful for, and is honored to have her standing with her as she begins this next chapter.
Michelle Canfield - Bridesmaid
Lauren and Michelle met at Edmond North High School when Michelle moved from California to Oklahoma and became Lauren’s classroom neighbor. Although they taught different subjects and grade levels, that didn’t stop a friendship from forming. Sharing hall duty led to countless conversations — many lasting longer than the five-minute passing period allowed — which quickly turned into a close bond.
Lauren and Michelle often found themselves in each other’s classrooms (and Jennie’s) to talk, vent, and laugh about their days. Along with Jennie, the trio became affectionately known as “The Coven,” or sometimes “The Witches of East Hall,” coordinating themed dress-up days and even dressing as the Three Blind Mice one Halloween. Through wisdom, thoughtful advice, book recommendations, and constant camaraderie, Michelle has been a steady and supportive friend, and Lauren is beyond grateful to have her by her side as she says "I do."
Mackenzie Coleman - Bridesmaid
Mackenzie and Lauren’s friendship began in an unexpected way — through Instagram. During a difficult season, Lauren came across Mackenzie’s barely.brave page after her mom recommended it as a source of hope and encouragement. Not long after, Mackenzie shared that she was looking for a personal trainer but didn’t want to do it alone, asking if anyone in the OKC area wanted to join her — and Lauren replied.
What began as a gym partnership quickly turned into a genuine friendship. As they got to know one another, they realized they shared much more in common, from being teachers in the same district to attending the same college and sharing many similar interests. Mackenzie’s positivity and encouragement have been a bright light in Lauren’s life, and in a world that can often feel heavy, Lauren is so grateful to have her beside her on one of the most special days of her life.
Kelli Ferrer - Bridesmaid
Kelli is more than just a bridesmaid — she is Lauren’s future sister-in-law. Lauren and Kelli first met while visiting their respective partners in New Jersey, and Lauren admits she was a little nervous. Knowing that Kelli and Liam would likely be married one day — and hoping the same for herself and Geoff — Lauren found herself wishing that Kelli would be the kind of in-law everyone hopes for. And she was — and so much more.
Bubbly, fun, and an incredible hostess, Kelli quickly made Lauren feel welcomed and at ease. Over the years, the two have continued to grow closer despite only seeing each other once or twice a year, forming a bond built on laughter, support, and genuine connection. Lauren feels incredibly lucky to be gaining Kelli not just as a sister-in-law, but as a lifelong friend. Lauren couldn’t imagine her wedding day without her by her side.
Liam Ferrer - Groomsmen
Geoff’s younger brother.
Kenny Jones - Groomsmen
Kenny is Geoff’s post college best friend. They met during Geoff’s senior year at OU through one of Geoff’s friends and clicked instantly. They both enjoy making people live, supporting others through the good and bad, love football and hip hop, and have both been there for each other during the highs and lows of post college adulthood. Originally from San Antonio, Kenny is a fervent supporter of the Spurs and loves everything Texas, including a certain school down in Austin. Kenny played college football at New Mexico State University and moved to Dallas after graduating. He currently works as Head of Security for professional tennis player Frances Tiafoe and previously did private security events for professional athletes and chart topping musicians. But he would argue his favorite role is the one of dad to his son, Dax. Geoff is excited to have Kenny be part of this special day.
Gabby Rutledge - Groomswoman
Gabby is Geoff’s female best friend, but Geoff would describe their relationship as Gabby being the twin sister he is a few minutes older then. They met in 2015 in Knoxville, Tennessee when the OU chapter of Phi Psi visited their University of Tennessee brothers for the Oklahoma-Tennessee football game that year (Gabby’s older brother Zac was a chapter alum). When Gabby needed a beer pong partner, Geoff volunteered, not realizing this would be the start of an over 10 year + friendship. They hung out the rest of the tailgate and after the game (and OU’s summit comeback at the end of regulation and win in overtime). They ended up staying in touch and talking almost every other day, helping each other navigate dating, talking college football, and life as early twenty year olds. Over that time, Gabby introduced Geoff to her friends, Michael and Adam, and the four of them become an unexpected but important friend group. Gabby currently lives in the Pigeon Forge/ Sevierville area of Tennessee where she works as a radiography technologist. You can catch her screaming her lungs out at Neyland Stadium in the fall cheering on the Vols and singing Rocky Top or driving her Ford Bronco through the rolling hills of Tennessee. Geoff is thrilled to have Gabby as his groomswoman, and Gabby is even more grateful she isn’t being forced to wear a suit for the momentous occasion.
Patrick Wright - Groomsmen
Patrick is Geoff’s college best friend and fellow fraternity brother from the Oklahoma Alpha chapter of Phi Kappa Psi. They met during Geoff’s first informal tour of Phi Psi shortly after Patrick was initiated into the fraternity. Geoff and Patrick both served various roles throughout Phi Psi, and were members of the same executive board when Patrick was Chapter President and Geoff was National Correspondent (External VP). While most friendships would fray in the wake of serving as officers of a house during a transitional period in the chapters history, they both came out the other side closer. Geoff credits Patrick for helping through some personal difficulties during their time in the house and knows he wouldn’t be who he is today without Patrick’s counsel. After college, Patrick moved into Healthcare Management & Staffing working in the Oklahoma City area, and just moved to Edmond with his wife Lindsay.
Allie Comstock - Something Blue
As the younger sister, Allie has never been afraid to speak her mind or take the lead. Through the years, Lauren has come to deeply value Allie's strength, loyalty, and unwavering honesty. Choosing her as “something blue” is a special way to celebrate the bond they share and the memories still to come.
